A Title of Distinction

Kelly Long is one of few that holds the title of National Merit Scholar semi-finalist.  Kelly has studied and completed college prep to ensure her academic success.  Out of the entire nation, only 1.25% make it to be a National Merit Scholar semi finalist.  Juniors who take the PSAT are automatically entered in the National Merit Scholarship competition.  If your PSAT score is between 1450-1520, you become qualified.   You will then be designated as either a commended or semi-finalist student.

The top 25% of test takers become national merit semi-finalist and the next 3% are commended students and receive an honorary certificate.   Kelly Long has an astounding gpa of 4.9.  She wants to be an anesthesiologist after she graduates High School.  Besides hitting the books hard. Long said, “I like listening to music because I am in band, I also like spending time with my friends and family.”
