“He showed me how to attempt to be the best in everything I do,” senior Health Salyards said.

April 4, 2022, the Rowlett High School Baseball Field was renamed the “Paul Carmon Field” in honor of former head coach, Coach Carmon being the first and only head coach for 25 years.

“Having the field named after him reminds me of the impact he made and will make on me everyday when I step on the field,” Salyards said.

While the ceremony has ended, memories of the event will last forever.

 “I’ll always remember when Coach Carmon and the Class of 2022 baseball players took pictures next to the “Paul Carmon Field” sign,” senior Carlos Acosta said.

As the baseball team plays on the field, they will always remember the coach that had such an effect on their lives.
